Student teams in fourth year class MTRL 451, Microstructural Analysis Lab, have been applying techniques in using the department’s electron microscope lab.  A class competition produced some excellent images and two winners, shown here: First place was awarded to ″Black and white” by Team Rocket; Second place went to “Frozen” by Group B2.

The judging panel included Dr. Rizhi Wang who teaches the course, Teaching Assistants, Vishnu Sangem and Ghazal Nayyeri, and Jacob Kabel, SEM technician. Images were judged on both artistic and scientific merits.
